LNF Break Pads
Not really.....brembos are better brakes period. Just saying for the guys complaining about pad price swap over to lsj brakes for cheapo brakes and its a better optionfor the straightline racers
When they are cold they suck, when they are wet and cold they suck.. actually no.. dangerous...
Let's look at some testing, don't forget the lsj has skinnier tires & a not as sticky tire.. & not as good suspension.. all play a factor in braking...
LNF - 70-0mph = 162ft
LSJ - 70-0mph = 160ft
Go
I don't know... Track temp, condition...
Your right though. The stopping distances are similar. On same day/place and repeated stop tests (like C&D do now), Brembo would stop shorter I'm sure.

I never said brembo's are bad brakes I'm just saying lsj's are better for the street.. not that they stop bad.. just on the road if you have to smash on your brakes to come to a dead stop.. an extra 2ft could matter
you never do a full stop or anything similar on the track...
200-120-160-100-80-140 etc...
Brembo's are horrible in the rain when cold... good example
sti,evo and ss
Hit the brakes hard when it's raining. don't engage abs... first few sweeps on rotor, nothing happens then they grab <- time lost slowing down
ride your brakes for 5 seconds in the rain a bit... get them warm/hot...
then hit your brakes watch how the car comes to a disturbingly quick stop..
brembo's are a 1000's better once you hit them hard once in a corner. Cold wet they are terrible, dry not too bad.
lsj brakes were good all around but faded easily after a couple hard stomps.
Saying lsj brakes are better is like saying hookers are better.. Sure in some cases, but overall not even close.

I personally just use the AutoZone brake pads. The ones for 20 bucks, semi metallic cheapest ones they got and they come with a lifetime warranty and have no problems with them what so ever. They preform well, and semi metallic brake pads are the most long lasting pads that you can get. Ceramic pads wear out faster then semi metallic and can't stand up as well to abuse as semi mets. If you don't want to see dust you gottha get ceramics. I can care less about dust.
If you dont get your brakes hot a lot and really need the Ferodos, or if you complain more about how much they suck when cold then you do rave about how good they are when warm, then you should ditch the stock pads, and pick up some Hawk HPS or Porterfield R4I pads. both have better initial grip when cold. HPS also dust much less than stock. and are cheaper. And though Im not a big fan of them in general EBC makes grippier cold pads, that are significantly cheaper than stock, or even Hawk HPS
SO I took my balt to the track for the first time this past weekend (NJMP Thunderbolt Raceway) the day after I installed stock rotors and stock pads ($146 from the dealer) and I have to say the braking was _PERFECT_ on the track. A photographer actually cought a picture of me under hard braking and you can visibly see the brake dust flying out of my rims. I plan on more track sessions this season and I already ordered a second set of stock pads and rotors.

stock pads alone are $170?
Yeah, I was suprised they were so cheap, though the rotors were expensive there. But I needed them fast and they were able to have them for me the next day which worked out perfectly. $71/rotor and $146 for the pads. This was Flemington Chevy in NJ.
