Lnfs better for lowering?
Lnfs better for lowering?
Read a few posts about h&r springs causing some axle binding but this seems to be on the lsj's. I saw a post about someone switching to lnf axles and the binding was gone?. Any one have any experience with running h&r sport springs with the lnf cv joints for a long period lets say 15-20,000 miles or more? Are the lnf axles that much better?
I bought my car with 33k and it had h&r springs on it when I bought it. I currently have 46k and the springs were on for a while before I owned it. I'm currently starting to have some issues with whet I think is the axle. When I turn the wheel completely left it makes a grinding noise(usually when parking), and also when I'm cruising in 3rd or 4th gear and I press the gas down a little or release it a little I get a 'bumpbumpbumpbump' noise coming from that area it increases in volume when going around a curve. I don't think it a wheel bearing but I'm pretty sure it could be axle bind. I plan on taking the springs off soon and taking it in to the dealer. So to answer your question I think they may be stronger than the lsj axles but they can still be subject to axle bind if your too low. Though there are thing I believe will help prevent it (rotated mounts? Rack spacer?) But I'm still trying to research those
