Ordered some MooG swaybar end links so now I can go all hulk on these old ones. In reality, I don't think these stock ones do much as flimsy they are.

I can't remember on the stock links or not but thought there was a flat spot on either side of the shaft so you could jam a wrench in there. I always remove mine with an impact. If you have an impact one thing that has worked for me before is to jack on the A-arm to compress the strut on one side as much as it will before it just starts lifting the car without compressing any further. This will put load on the end like and if you are lucky it will bind up the stud enough to keep it from spinning while you whirl it off with the rattle gun.

Thanks. I have tried all these mentioned ways. There was an ever so slight flat spot which would not fit any wrench ..and then, with all the slippage starting to decimate the bushings. So, when putting the new ones on just vice grip and go or would a fork tool help?

If you ordered the moog ones they have a hex nut builtin to allow for removal. Although I see you live in the rust belt, go get some nickel anti-seize and give both nuts a reasonable coat.

Like E said, any new ones that I know of will have some sort of provision that allows you to prevent rotation while tightening.
