Looking to lower without completely compromising the ride

We want to lower the 2010 LT 2 inches, going to be putting 17 inch Rock Stars on. Just wanted some opinions on what springs to get that have the best ride with 17 inch wheels.

He is the one that wants all of the modifications done and has been doing them himself (used to be a Mercedes mechanic) I'm more concerned with how it rides since I'm pregnant and have horrible morning sickness that lasts all day (driving is hell)

I wouldn't get any aftermarket springs then because they will be stiffer. But if you do, I'd go with a set of SSC springs, ZZP sells them. They aren't the lowest or the best for handling but they offer a nice compromise between the two.

He wants to lower the car, honestly, it doesn't matter to me. When he's not working he's tinkering with the truck, Jeep, bike and car.

of all the springs i'd go CM (Canuck Motorsport) or SSC for a mild drop and best ride

YYZ springs. drop, great ride, great handling and lifetime guarantee for breaking or losing rate 360 shipped anywhere in 'merica.

PS rising rate springs. None of the others are like that.

i have yyz v3's and while they don't drop quite as much as say sportlines, their ride is awesome. And they wont tear up your cab mounts like the lowering springs will.

how far of a drop will the yyz springs do? I'd like to try them but don't want to go any lower than stock.

They are the closest lowering springs to stock height, and ride better than any lowering spring made for the cobalt. PERIOD.

i just sold my coils and went with FE5 (ss/tc) shocks/struts + YYZ and it lifted me back up about 2" front and maybe 2.5" rear, and on the coils i was around 3.5" lower than stock all the way around as reference
