lowering with 235/40 18's

i just bought the enkei ekm3 wheels with goodyear eagle gt 235/40 18's. i thought i would be ok with the height of it but now i think i want to lower it. i think im ok with the height of the front but the back to be honest is rediculous. There's a pro kit that leaves the front the same and just drops the rear but how much does it drop it? im just worried about the size of my tires and rubbing if i dropped the front too. also how much would it be to get them put on and get aligned? thanks for the help

i think if you dropped on sportlines it would fill in all wheel gaps pretty well and look amazing.

but you dont think it will rub when i turn the wheel all the way? Are there springs that are inbetween the sportlines and the pro kit but are still by a reputable manufacturer?

pretty much every other spring made but H&R's and B&G I believe. Are'nt those tire specs the same as the SS/TC but just thicker? if so you shouldnt rub with sportlines.

They are a little wider and also have a slightly higher sidewall

they might rub in the back over big bumps or with people in back seat. I know that 245/40/18s on sportlines do.

Just curious if you know this for sure? Because I am currently running 245/40/18's on the stock TC wheels and I am really considering lowering but not if its gonna rub.

i just put 235/40/18;s on my SS/TC and It dont rub. 245's rub, not 235's. And this is on Sportlines. You think about looking into pedder springs? they drop you between sportliens and pro-kit and perform pretty good

Yes I know this for sure....245s and sportlines will rub in the rear, even with just a driver in the car....epic rub with passengers

Car looks good with 235 tires on the EMK3's. Better than 225 like I tried on mine. Springs? Pedders.

yea im glad that i went with the 235's i feel like it gives it a tougher look and looks better on the rim. they're both good sizes though. i still havent lowered it yet still thinking about it. im still worried about scrapping the front lip on bumps and curbs.

I track day and autox on sportlines with falken 235s (falkens are slightly wider than most tires of the same size)and they only slightly rub on high g turns.
Also bought ride height. In my Farther's neighborhood their is a speed bump that my farther's stock BMWz4 scrapes on. my car clears it.

did you go with the 235's or the 225's cause that makes a big difference. if you have the 225 it has a shorter sidewall then the 235
