lowering my 2.4l

I have a 2006 2.4L cobalt. I'm sure everyone is aware of the gap there is with the 17" rims. I want to lower it just so it looks more asthetic and don't want to hamper with ride quality at all. Any suggestions on how much of a drop i should go with and brands would be greatly appreciated. Emphasis on maintaining ride quality. Thanks for any suggestions.

Go with coil overs otherwise you will have a rough ride. no struts out yet either for the springs.

unless you are going with coilovers your ride will get stiff, but on the other hand with the lowering springs you will be able to corner and handle like a mf

Have you lowered your G5 yet? I'm curious to what it would set me back. I don't like the wheel gap in the rear.

G5mike so are you saying pretty much the Strut Bars and everything that is out for the Cobalt SS/na will probably/most likely fit in our cars?

while we're on the subject of lowering, can you put sportlines on a 2.4 without replacing shocks etc? so basicly can you just swap the springs and get an alignment and not have any probs?

everthing is the same, I have theInjen intake and the catbach for the ss/na, and no you do not have to replace the shocks, you are going to have a harsher ride though because you are lowering it anywhere from an inch and half to two inches
