lowering my cobalt?

I started to diassemble my front suspension to lower my cobalt and I cannot get the 2 lower bolt off of the shock tower. Its almost like they are threaded in to the shock tower and the head of the bolt is only flat on two sides and the res of the bolt is rounded. Anyone with a lowered ss that could help me out??? I can get a 15 mm wrench on it but cannot get enough torque to break it loose. Is there some type of special tool for this?

they're pressed in. put the nut on the end of it so the head of it sits flush with the bolt and tap it with a hammer.

Yeah I saw that too awhile ago and was like WTF. Came on here looking for a how-to, and there was none. So I went to the redline forum, and they had one . So I figured out to smack it out lol, took a few swings. The most trouble I had was getting the nut on the top of the strut off. I had really nothing to hold the rod, so when I tried to loosen the nut the rod would spin with it, /sigh. Oh well, I finally got it with some locking plies (2 To name it, and yes the spring de-tensioners I got from autozone were fully tightened, there was no pressure on the dumb thing at all haha.

How hard is it to change your springs, i was going to get mine professionally done, but if i can do it myself to save cash, i'll do it

What kinda specialized tools do i need and how much do they cost?

well you will need all the proper sockets and what not...an impact wrench makes the job alot easier in places you can fit one. You will need for sure a spring compressor to get the springs on and off. I think that the spring compressor is the only thing that you HAVE to have.
