lowering the ss/tc

I'm looking to lower my car finally and have a few question

1. What's the best way to go about it..... springs or coilover?
2. If it springs, do I need to replace anything else besides the springs?
3. Is it really worth lowering since its already has a tuned suspension

Since I need a alignment I figured I might as well try to kill to birds with one stone

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

they are good springs. they give as close to stock ride as you can get with a decent drop and great handling. google it

they come up on the site used sometimes for like 150 - 160 but i think that 219$ brand new is a great price for a quality set of springs... or you could just do it right in the beginning and spend the extra money and buy coilovers

cool, thanks. its hard to tell by the pics what gives the lower drop.

but the ssc are cheaper. TTR are selling the sportlines for 249.00 and the scc are 219.00

I haven't really heard of ssc springs on a tc. What I had a lot of others have that have been proven to be an upgrade to the ss/tc suspension would be pedder springs. I got mine from ottp.

Just my .02 cents. Search pedders, you'll see good things

yeah pedders are probably the BEST springs like post above ^ but they are about $150 more than ssc springs and dont really drop that much but have the best handling

I have had SSC springs as well as Pedders. There is a day and night difference between the two. I vote pedders all the way! The ride is better than stock and you just don't find that with a drop spring.

Definitely worth the extra cash IMO

mostly looks. I dont goto the track, and if I drive fast its straight on the highway. maybe some digs here and there but nothing big.

I dont try to do turns at 60. I used to have an LT that was to the **** but without boosting and springs and I lost it around two turns, so im done with fast turns lol lol lol, I get it was lt suspension and thats why but im still not risking anything with my TC

If you go for looks then you wont be looking at pedders. But if you get springs contact OTTP and get spacers for them.
