Need help diassembling brake clalipers

Im getting my calipers powdercoated and I need to disassemble the calipers. I have seen people with powdercoated calipers on the forum and would like to know what they did. I cant find a reseal kit and do I even need one?

Seal are probably only available through GM parts. FYI the rears arent intended to be taken apart and serviced, as far as I know all of the seals arent even available.

VHT paint is gonna be the cheaper/quicker/easier option. clean, prep and paint per VHT directions, bake at 200degrees if you want. there are also some really decent epoxy type brake paint kits on the market that require no heat. Look into those as well.

painting

Yea I just took off all four calipers and painted them with caliper set from local auto store and they turned out great. And i found new brembo stickers off ebay only cost about 30 bucks for the whole job. Only thing is know i gotta bleed the system.

The problem is Ive seen powdercoated calipers before. Looks ten times better and lasts sooooo much longer than autozone paint. I know there are some people who have done it on here.

100% I have a set of beautifully powdercoated rear calipers that are junque because they cannot be put back together I even found seals but the device for the adjustment piston post mechanism for the h/e ratchet is not practically re-buildable. Ugh 130+ to replace and ignore the powdercoat loss. Paperweight....

mask and powdercoate; moderate oven heat wont hurt the seals....

Powder Coating

Yes true it will look better with the powder coat, some people say the rears cant be disassembled, and i really dont want to take them apart. Ill put up pics of mine when there installed. They turned out better than i thought.

Lets say that I can disassemble them. Could I reuse the old seals since they arent bad to begin with?

only if you could somehow remove them and then reassemble them without any damage.

aghh x 2. If it could be done we would have done it....if you got a machinist who can make a trick tool I got the design. For 500 bucks of work with the machinist, I would rather buy two new 135 dollar calipers to fix my mistake.

You want to make your own mistakes, go ahead take those suckers apart

oh i got new seals for you . not 100% the same but close enough. Th old seals get damaged on the take apart bit. Remember Mavens post "not intended to be serviced?"

good reason.

so your saying these dont look nice?? I know there not brembos. Use the G2 caliper paint and if you sand the caliper it will come out really smooth.
