well i took the rings off and it did nothing for me. i then came up with the idea of getting them turned. its cheap, only $10 per rotor, but the midas guys said that chevy would prolly fix it for free since its under the warranty so i am going up there tuesday to check it out.

make sure to put stock wheels back on otherwise you will not get it covered by warrenty.

Did you use a torque wrench when tightening your lugs? If the lugs are unevenly torqued, you will pull the rotor in different directions which will cause the warping.

because aftermarket weels can be heavier which will make the brakes work harder to stop the car which will create heat and warp the rotors. i would seriously take them off!

Are you kidding, that's all mine took to be perfect...hmm...did you pull them off the backs also? They're on all 4 corners, just in case you didn't notice. On the wheels I got the center caps were pushing the hubcentrics out too far so I took them to work and milled a little off the back, try that. I never ran them when they were pushing out the hubcentrics but that could be the problem, maybe it's not seating even or something.

If you came to my dealer with aftermarket wheels on I'd charge you, in a heart beat. Also the "rings" you removed if you have them put them back on when you put the stock wheels on. If you come in asking about warped rotors and the rings are missing the tech says ok this guys had his rotors off the car. Your dealer may not give you a problem but there is always the chance.

or you can do it the old fashioned way, take a scale that you would use to weigh yourself and hold it under your tire iron, as you force the pressure the scale will go up, thus giving you a reading of how much pressure you are using, i have seen this done on farm equitment upwards of 300 pounds and they were off a .5lb, so this could work if you dont work on your car alot and dont want a torque wrench but the best advice is buy one.
