Need Koni Shocks!
Need Koni Shocks!
has any one had any experience with the koni shock inserts? also where is the best place to get a set? gravana wants 600 is there anywhere cheaper. or if anyone has a slightly used set pm me. thanks guys
i love em...i have zero complaints, and recommend them to anyone who is looking for more than just springs for their suspension, but doesnt want to spend mad cash on coilovers. They're pretty similar to coilovers really. The only difference is you cant adjust ride height. But a set of sportlines and konis gives you the same drop and firmness adjust ability as coilovers.
the cheapest I've seen them is at www.shox.com
also THMotorsports was running a special on them, not sure if they still have some or not.

Don't get me wrong cause I like Koni's but don't forget that $600 is for 4 Koni Stuts only
You still have to buy the springs ($200 to $250) and don't forget the extra labour costs needed to cut, bleed and fit your front factory struts.
The Fronts are strut inserts only they are not a bolt-on replacement

danm u kinda payed alot for the struts...also whats this bleeding crap u gotta do up front...i can installed them in about 30 min or so..but bleeding them, never done it,so im kinda lost..
After you remove your stock GM strut you are suppose to drill a small hole on the bottom of the Strut and bleed the fluid out before cutting it
Konis are the top of the line. We carry them @ www.TurboTechRacing.com
We have had experience with them for over 10 years. The Cavalier/Sunfire use the same replacement system and even after all these years they are still rated #1.
