need to lower

so i want some ideas on the proper springs to lower my LS with in the spring when i do it
i know with more bigger drops its recommended to replace the shocks and struts with FE5 TC ones. and i have no problem doing that.
im not sure what springs to lower with. i like the drop sportlines give because it gets rid of the majority of the gap
B&G is to much of a drop for me because there is a lot of potholes around here in ny where i live.

but what other springs are good. i don't want to harsh of a ride. i know the ride quality will change but i just don't know what springs to lower on because i don't have much knowledge on all of them. i have read about them but i still just don't know

so if some one can help me with the proper choice of what springs i should drop on that would be great

I'm not saying I am right, but in my opinion, Sportlines are the best quality ride and give the lowest drop. Just my opinion.

H&Rs in my opinion are lower than sportlines. ive been running them in my past three vehicles and almost 4 years on my cobalt. no sags, no pogo stick bouncing, real nice ride ( i have koni yellows too ). just my .02

yeah. well how much lower are H&r's?

are there any pics of a ls dropped with them so i can see how it looks

i always have liked the ride hight of yours im just not sure if its too low for me, i just really need to get rid of that gap in the back and the front
i mean idc if i still have a few inches of gap just not at much as i currently have
i was thinking 2.5 or so in the back and 2 in front to drop on

Aren't we all!

OP: They're all the same in the end dude, it's like, when someone asks - Which cold air intake is the best?.. Well, they all accomplish the same job, and for the most part, you wouldn't even be able to differentiate.

Get what you want man, no matter what you get, you'll be happy with the results. This I can promise.

i got ksports it a 2.0 inch in front and 2.5 in the rear, the ride is still good to. there is a small amount of wheel gap, but when you put people in the back it lowers even more. i scrape sometimes if i go over a speed bump but without the people in the back i can go over the same speed bump and be fine.

h&r sports are what its 1.4/1.6
if you were trying to stay away from sportlines because they are too low then H&Rs will probably not be what your looking for. im not sure if theres any pics of people with H&Rs on LS in here im sure there are somewhere.
i have absolutly no wheel gap on mine. it sits mint to me.
pics

that makes no sense at all.
if you get h&rs for the basemodel they will lower you more than sportlines for the base model

Maybe on the SS, but on the base model H&R vs Sportlines, right next to each other, Sportlines are lower, guaranteed.

SS are lowered about an inch more in front and back than base i think right? so our car might even go lower. if you check out some sites, same will say the base will go lower than SS. I measured my gap in the wheel well and its about 2IN in front and 2.5IN in back. i plan on getting sportlines so that should drop it 2IN in front and 2.5IN in back from what people have said. i'll have almost no gap.

TenzosR are said to drop same as sportlines but eibach sportlines might have a better ride. TenzosR are on sale atm about 100 cheaper than eibach, but question is, what has a better ride.

ls sits higher than the ss so sportlines would drop a base model more than h&r

i think ima get sportlines.

am i missing the way your thinking?
even if the base model springs lower it more than the ss springs which they dont since i got a pair of base model rear springs by accident ( i can provide pictures if youd like )
h&rs drop lower than sportlines ( wether you want to go sport springs or race springs )
so if the h&r springs drop lower than the sport lines regardless, it wont matter which model you put them on the drop will still be more than the other set of springs

alright. still doesnt make sense to me
since sportlines drop 2 in front and 2.5 in back and h&r are liek 1.7 and 1.4
thats how i am thinking... if i measure my gap and measure 1.7 less for say the back than measure 2.5 less the sportlines would be lower
but maby i am incorrect.

As bad as this sounds, I'd rather have ride height over handling/comfort.. I'd ride in a car that felt like a cardboard box with concrete wheels if it meant a nasty drop.. Luckily sportlines give a great drop, arguably the best, and amazing handling.

dont forget about the eibach pro kits. bit more handling than the sportlines but less drop.

a lot of peoople like the sportlines due to the drop. but they are close to factory spring rates.
