New Shocks and Struts?

Ok so yesterday I did my Tenzo spring install and found out I need new shocks and struts. Well after half ass looking my options seem to be Koni's, A coilover kit, or going back with stock? Does any other companies (tokico, KYB, etc) make any thing for our car. I don't need the adjustability of the konis and don't want coilovers. Thanks in advance guys.

You could go for a set of Autozone specials, but they probably won't be any better than your stockers.

When I put my Superior Sport Chasis springs on my cobalt, i took the car in right before and had the struts replced under warrenty. They lasted about 3 months and are now completely shot.

Well I def. don't want to go back with stock **** or autozone specials LOL. I need something alittle better then stock but I don't need anything adjustable. Some KYB's would be awesome or Tokico's anything like that available?

So no other options huh? Damn that sucks. I don't feel like dropping 700 on Koni's. I just don't need the adjustable struts.

why drop 700 on konis when you can get coilovers for 1000? Coilovers are the best thing everyone drops their cars and then blow their stock suspension. People should just go to coilovers from the start.

why wouldnt you want the adjustability? You can be stock height or you can be dumped whats better than that. Springs ftl always blowing struts

because he has no need for that and more importantly doesnt want to spend that kind of money on that option when he has no need for in the first place

but from what it looks like there arent many options out there as far as shocks and struts go...

Thanks man, I found out that Monroe makes OEM replacements. I'll probably buy those for now being that they should be alittle better then stockers. I seen that in the winter of 08 KYB will release shock absorbers for Cobalts and HHR's. So I'll wait for those! So Monroe here I come!

When I get my SSC springs I plan on buying FE5 struts and shocks when mine start to wear out and leak.

Read the description alittle better and they EXCLUDE the SS models. So they are a no go also! So looks like I'm waiting on the KYB's but I can't find out if they are also gonna exclude the SS. Maybe I should call KYB?

The FE5 struts and shocks are pretty good. I plan on getting them brand new after mine go out. They should last you a while, even if you're on sportlines.

Are there any other struts and shocks that are of good quality besides Koni's at the moment.
