Unless you get Koni's (designed for use with lowering springs), you are going to be replacing struts frequently. I have Progress springs on stock struts and they are toast after 3-4 months. I am leaning towards coilovers so I can customize my ride height. My car is a bit lower than I would like right now.
Train tracks are a bitch! lol

hey man, i was just like you, didn't want the adjustability of coilovers because i thought it was way beyond my ability, but i didn't want t spend just as much on springs and shocks, i couldn't see the tradeoff, so i got the coilovers instead. installed them myself, but had them tuned by a shop, and i couldn't be happier with my choice. trust me, your car will feel like a BMW with coilovers. it's amazing.
