new springs...

Anyone have the H & R lowerings springs installed
The ones I'm looking @ is a mild drop 1.5 in the front and 1.4 in the rear...so they say.
Only question I have is can I use stock struts/shocks, because they are nice
09' TC coupe.
Price is $329.00 Canadian

yep.

you can use stock struts for now, will probably need to upgrade in the future. by future I mean could be a couple years, or never lol

yeah the struts will wear faster as more "Stress" is put on them, thats why sometime in the future you will want to upgrade, basically whenever they decide they are fed up with it. Some people go for months others go for years without upgraded struts, kind of just depends on how long your struts want to go. Also, make sure to cut the bump stops according to the instructions.

Ill just chime in with the opposite..... DO NOT cut the bump stops. the bump stops are what keeps the struts from bottoming out internally.....bottoming out internally is what kills struts. Ive never cut bumpstops on a Cobalt spring install, no problems yet. Friend of mine has an SS/TC on sportlines with uncut bumpstops, Ive got SS/TC struts and shocks with Pedders springs and uncut bumpstops, no issues.

Ya that should be him. I'm also a part of OCC under the name of Forcefedss. I bought H&R springs because of those pictures. I'll be putting them in my TC next week. I paid mine $440CAD taxes in from a place in Markham ONT. If you go to H&R website there are two Ontario distributors. Check them out.

Wow pretty expensive I got my H&Rs from a friend of ours that owns his own shop for $260. He hooked me up and I love them so far, I have had them on for about five months and they give a really good stance not a slammed look but nice.

So buying aftermarket struts such as Koni would be a better route then just buying new stock ones again? Im not too thrilled about cutting the front struts with the Koni's though.
