Noise when turning under power

I have an '08 G5 GT.

When I am turning and accelerate, I hear what almost sounds like a grinding noise from the front of my car.

Is this normal? Is it something I need to get checked out?

It only happens under acceleration. If I don't accelerate the noise is not there. Any thoughts?

Sounds like one of your fenderwell linings is hanging down a bit and your tires are rubbing on it..

Especially if you are lowered..

I am not lowered at all. And it does not sound like rubber rubbing on plastic fender well.

It sounds more metallic. Could it be something with the drive train?

Id also like to know what this could be...Ive also have this occurring but I never figure out what it is.

It almost sounds like my brakes are making the squeaking noise when I turn...well my cars problem sounds like this, not sure about yours.

I have 2.4L automatic tranny.

It doesn't sound like squealing brakes. That is a different sound. It is really hard to imitate in an forum.

But the noise ONLY occurs when I turn and am under power. So if I take off from a turn with hard/medium acceleration it makes the noise.

Accelerating lightly in turns doesn't do it.

CV joints don't like high powered hard turns

The car only has 10,000 miles. Shouldn't have stuff like that breaking this soon should I?
