I'm just saying I took them to a mechanic not a cobaltss.net certified mechanic and he said Im going to get some pull and the pads will wear differently.

But they won't. Not bashing here. Within a few stops, the finish will be worn off and you will have 4 shiny rotors. When I got backfrom Hawaii I had alot o rust on mine, did a few panic stops and that shot was gone. Just put them on the car, and see if I'm, and everyone else here is wrong. If it pulls, just take them off, stop being a dick to zzp, and they will help you out. I still dont see why your turbo build has to be cancelled. Brakes are easy to do by yourself, and you will learn things while you do them. Get a few buddies, a case of beer and work on them

I recently bought Zimmerman Coat-Z rear brake rotors/discs from AutohausAZ.
They are a horrible light grey/putty paint colour all over (apparently this is the "coat Z-Anti-Corrosion coating") and not like ordinary rotors which have a shiny 'steel' surface.
I absolutely hate the color!
Apparently, Zimmermann applies the Coat Z-AntiCorrosion coating to further improve longevity.
The installation instructions state that this coating should not be removed prior to usage.
What I want to know is will the rotors eventually turn into the desired usual shiny steel surface or will they stay this horrible colour?

The coating does wear away, it's a coating, not an alloy of some sort. The discs will shine up where the pads hit, but the zinc reduces the odds of it sticking to the hub and to the wheel and prevents corrosion elsewhere. I remember reading somewhere that it also hastens the bedding-in process, so all you need to do is drive normally and avoid abusing the brakes for a hundred miles or something like that, which is why they tell you not to clean it off, the pads will do it for you

There's nothing wrong with the rotors in that picture. The one on the right should be in balance and have runout within specs. You'll probably see little flat spots on the circumference of the rotor for balancing purposes. For whatever reason, they didn't have to/want to run it through a lathe.
The one on the left was run through a lathe one last time. Maybe there was a little more run out than expected. Both should be just fine. After a few stops, you can't tell the difference between the two.

It's anti-corrosion coating, they put them on a lot of rotors so they don't get corroded and dont look rusty so dipshits like this guy will buy them. The one just doesn't have it for whatever reason.
