pedders

They are fail and win... I just installed my rear springs and there is Woooooooo way in hell the bump stop pr the other cup would fit without trimming. 3/16" offs it seemed... I even had to let the weight of the car seat the bump stops for me...

Now they DO ride better in my opinion. They absorb large hits MUCH better and keep the car stable... im not sure why these Wernt the oem springs...

Bumpstops fit no problem
Cup fit by aligning then slowly press spring into it some use Drexel to shave tabs somewhat

bump stops would not fit after trimming... the car finished seating them for me... i actually got it pressed in far enough that the metal band was in the coil and when i pulled it out to shave a little off below the band, the band stayed in the springwhile the plastic came out... the ends are deffinately too small on these springs... if pedders excuse is they didnt want them to fall out, they do realize the plastic cups are just sitting there as well... so the plasic cup will fall out WITH the spring now if they ever managed to get that far lol.

Didn't have to cut anything to put mine in. Some lube, drop the bumpstop on the garage floor, push down on the spring and turn.

Dropped maybe a little over an inch front and a little under an inch rear. Front looks good, back still a touch too high for my tastes, though it does have a nice rake with them.

I live in Seattle. Roads out here suck due to rain, frost, rain, people using studded tires 6 months of the year, rain, oh, and more god damned rain.

They handle the potholes and grooves in the road just as well as the stockers. Ride quality is the same, bump handling ability the same.

I couldn't tell you what driving with Pedders in the snow is like. I'm on the factory Contis. I can't get the car out of my driveway if there's snow on it. No traction.

Lower car means more snow under the car, I would expect, but our neighbors to the north seem to think the car does just fine in the snow with good tires, eh. I'm inclined to believe them.

Our cars do great in the snow. I've pretty much proved a cobalt can go anywhere. Driving through mountains with a couple feet of fresh snow, black ice, ice covered roads etc.

Here's a picture of the car in Calgary:

They were Nokian Hakapelita RSi's 245/40R18 but now I'm on Hakapelita R 225/40R18 because I had a bubble in the sidewall.

They ride better then stock, just different.. hard to explain
I got them for like $149 brand new because the manufacture is 30 minutes away from my house but you can get them from ZZP.
