Popping/knocking noise when turning?

2006 cobalt ss S/C g85 edition with 51k miles and stock suspension.

I have a poping/knocking noise coming from somewhere in my front suspension. im guessing since it only makes the noise when im moving and turning. when i turn from left to right, right to left. any ideas what it may be? my guess is maybe sway bar endlinks? they are still stock. and the main road i live off of has some pretty bad roads right now due to construction. i live in PA. we have the worst roads in the country has anyone experienced similar problems and what did you fix/replace? and advice/information would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Wrong. Its your steering column and intermediate shaft, those need to be replaced, its about a grand to replace at the stealership but you dont have to replace if you can bare with the noise.

Have you? I have the same noise, but it's from a bad upper strut mount, not ball joints. Without looking at the car, there are several causes for that exact same symptom. All we can do from here is shoot off random guesses.

That's precisely my point. No. None of us have been in his car.

So what business does anyone have saying someone else is wrong when there are multiple possible causes of the symtpom and the cause i listed is a possibility?
