Possible shock siezing?
Possible shock siezing?
Quick back story, i got my sportlines installed a little while ago and the passenger side sat higher then the drivers side, did a few speed bumps and it went even with the drivers side.
So i didnt pay attention much anymore, lately though i notice its uneven again, same side. If i do more speed bumps and such, it sits even for another few days then goes back. Could one of the shocks be siezing up or worn out? I had the spring installation checked a few weeks back when i had the allignment done and everything is in properly.
Seeing as its one side sitting higher then the rest, its obviously not a sagging spring, so does a shock issue sound possible?
If someone else has another idea, please feel free to share as this one has stumped me

bump
Bump, can a partially siezed shock explain this?
so im the only one that thinks this is a plausible explanation?

Damn, this site is a pain in the ass. I wrote a reply, but I guess I was too slow, and it kicked me off.
The long and short of my post was that you cannot determine a strut/shock seizing by ride height. I cannot be bothered to rewrite my post. Sorry, you should post in a quality forum!

I over-cooked the Bilsteins on my rally car 30 years ago. The ride height was not affected. It just rode like a flat bed truck with no wheel travel.
Check for the usual visual things. Lift the rubber boot, and make sure there is no scoring/rubbing of the shaft. The strut may not be "seized" but is it bent?
ps(my post the other day was much more detailed, but I wanted to get this done quickly.)
