sportlines don't really lower the car to such an extreme that you would bottom out, i go over speed bumps easily and dont scrap, i can hit pretty hard bumps and dips in the road and have yet to bottom the car out... i live in tennessee. if that makes a difference. but i've had mine for a while now and i love them.

welll yeah its a huge difference cause chevy likes to make lifted cars...but it just looks clean to me, and less gap.

i'm not saying that is not a huge drop, i'm saying that i didn't notice a huge difference in clearance issues, i've never rubbed anything. speed bumps are hassle even if your in a 4x4 lol. if you go over them how your supposed to go over them you will be fine.

heres the difference in sportlines on my 2006 LT. wheels are 18x8

if you can hold out on lowering and save more money go with coilovers. ive had these sportlines on for 2 years now and the struts/shocks are dunzo. its a good TEMPORARY solution but have a future plan

Not quite. There is no greater level of "stress". LS, LT, SS, they all weigh basically the same. Where the car sits height wise really doesn't effect the lifespan of the strut or shock. That is a common misconception.

The only stress is from a lowered car bottoming out.....it forces the piston/valve assembly to crush against the internal bump stop, you do this too often or too hard and you "blow out" the strut

I'm in buffalo. It snows and the roads aren't exactly top notch to say the least. I have sportlines on and my car does just fine.
