Pulsating brakes???
i have a 2006 cobalt ss with about 38000 miles on it now. i have had the rotors turned once and then replaced already because they become warped very quickly. i may have driven on the new brakes for maybe 5000 miles and there warped and pulsating as bad as once before. any one have any advice or ideas I'm lost and annoyed with these breaks.

change rotors to different rotors and make sure you change your pads when you change the rotors. The stock rotors are horrible, I changed mine out at about 28k miles with some aftermarket slotted rotors and haven't had any problems with warping or grooving.
Basically... stock rotors are garbage

hawk pads, and a decent name brand rotor, check whats available to you. Dont cheap out because as you can see, they die out quickly. Also take the rotor and pads off and return them as defective.

two surfaces coming together...one has to give. if you buy the cheap pads that have metal in them, the rotors wont last. I went with ceramic pads.... lifetime warranty.

What you believe is warped rotors may just be the result of pad deposits. Bedding brake pads properly can prevent issues in the future. I recently had an issue with a front rotor to where the steering wheel was shaking really bad during braking. I did some heavy braking a bunch of times in a row from 60 a couple days on my way home from work and they've been fine ever since. Only do this when you've got a good stretch of road and are able to drive 5 minutes or so without coming to a complete stop to let the brakes cool. If you get them hot and come to a stop, pad deposits can get stuck to the rotor and cause the same problem all over again. If you have your wheels torqued properly, it isn't likely that you've actually got warped rotors.
