No it's no where near stock height. My front gap is only 2 finger gap.

It doesn't matter if the rear springs are "binding" as some of you call it.

They have what is called "dead" or "inactive" coils. They are the coils that look normal off of the car, but when installed, they are sitting on-top of each-other, (As seen in a picture on the 1st page). You actually need the "dead" or "inactive" coils in some cars, because when you increase the spring rate in a lowering spring it's obviously going to be shorter than stock spring rate. If you had a low spring rate but not enough coils to fill up space, you'd have a loose spring sitting there, which would be dangerous as all hell.

In short: The "binding" coils as you guys call it, (incorrect name), are not doing any harm what so ever, they are essentially filling space, that is all. Notice the active coils below them.

Thanks.

Your car does NOT look stock. The second pic ( in your original post) is deceptive in the front..I think your car *may* not have been level with the rear sitting lower on a slight incline...or it could just be the angle of the shot. The first side pic (shown here) looks about right..very much like my Pedders.
Front is about a 2 finger gap..rear is about 3 fingeres or so.

Here's mine on Pedders:

Yours (Again):

btw OP, is ur rear right higher than ur rear left?
sometimes I wonder about that, but doesn't matter just made rubber silencers and not have to deal with the noise in the back.

This thread is 5 years old. The guy you quoted hasn't been on the site since 2013.

Was this a question? Statement?

I see you're a new member but take a look at thread dates before posting.

Again, Punctuation would help. We can't read your mind.

This took 10 seconds to Google. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/susp...-coils-272919/

Consensus is the dead coils go to the top.

How hard was that?
