quick help before i order!

Im about to order a rear sway bar and I want to make sure that all I need to buy is the bar and thats it or do I need to order bushing/connectors etc etc... and any opinions on the sway bar I choose would be great

also will a TC FRONT sway bar work on a 07 LT?

Thanks!

Anyone??

just go with eibach front and rear sway bar kit, you can't go wrong with them (unless you don't search and endup paying too much).
the set will have everything needed for installation or replacement.

I'm going to add my input because i've seen you post about audio stuff along with Emp, and i always appreciate your knowledge, as i know nothing of audio.

TC front bar will work. You will need the dual bolt clamps and bushings. This is the front bar i recommend above all else. Just a perfect balance for the car.

Let me know if you have questions about the rear bar, or springs/shocks/etc.

Haha true this stuff confuses the hell out of me but doesn't the front sway bar just connect at the strut mounts right under the hood (basically a 5 min install)??

I'm very sure you are drunk as hell. You are asking if the sway bar connects the struts????????? Reallyyyy??????????

boys with boys, girls with girls, strut mounts with STRUT BARS and sway bars to connect your left tire to your right tire in turns.

Damn chill out I thought strut/sway bars were basically the same thing...I'll prob just get the rear sway put in and leave it at that cause the front bar sounds like it would be difficult to install

okay fine my bad, but i did said i think you were drunk :p

i can tell you this, if you can read a circuit diagram, then you can see a nut connected to a bar holding it and another bolt that need to be unbolted. sway bar and strut bar are the same, you replace one thing with another.
word of the day kids:REPLACE
you don't need to ADD just REPLACE. your only concern should be if you are strong enough to remove some bolts, example the bolts (with a spring) that connect the downpipe with the header or with the cat.
so buy both, do the rear is as simple as the front STRUT bar and look at the front, anyone here near you will help you since you are the guru in audio.

from Maven:

"In order to change an FE1 car over to an FE5 front antisway you must order 2005 SS/SC insulators, 2006-up FE3/5 cars use a "2 bolt" clamp and an insulator with a "hump" in it. ALL FE1 cars use a "1 bolt/1 slot" clamp, and insulators with "no hump" The 2005 SS/SC clamps/insulators are the only parts that allow a proper mod free install of an FE5 bar in an FE1 car."

You should still use two bolt clamps. You will have to drill the second hole, but over time the added torsional forces will bend the single clamps and cause them to fail.

For the record, the sway bar does connect to the struts.. Not directly but through the end links.. lol

Yep that is all you need. Just so you know you have to drop down the engine cradle to drill/tap for the 2bolt clamps.

for the tc or sc swaybar in your car. You need to drill. I'm sure you don't want to do that.
do eibach kit. It will bring everything needed for istallation and replace.

No you don't NEED to drill it for the 2 bolt clamp. It would just be better in the long run if you really corner your car. I am still on th 1bolt/1slot clamp and its holding up well with my ss/sc front bar. (although the racing season JUST started..) when i start having problems with these clamps i will take the time to drill and tap for 2 bolt clamps.

Why do you keep pushing the eibach kit? IMO the front bar is too big comparing to the rear on an LS/LT For an SS it would be better, because of the stiffer rear factory beam/bar

OP all you really need is the bar and 05 SS insulators. here is the GM Part # 22700091 I just went with moogs though..

Alright I'm ordering today but when you drill are you just drilling through sheet metal or what cause I'm not worried about drilling unless there's something important right behind the drilling surface

It's pretty beefy material, but its the same as where the holes are on the SS's, so it won't compromise anything.

lol wtf?!

The Eibach bar is STIFFER

If the TC bar breaks the mounting points over time, how much faster do you think the Eibach one will take care of that???

I'm pushing eibach cause I think they are replacement. Then again I'm not sure if the bar comes with bushing and clamps. Anyway energy suspension sales them.

They fit in the stock location up front, but it is much much larger than the FE5 bar which is big enough.
