Rear brake woes

My '06 LSJ has definitely got a problem with the rear brakes. I bought the car in May with 80k miles and it currently is up to 89k. When I got the car I had new tires put on it and the shop told me that the rear pads were bare so I had the rotors turned and had the pads replaced. I also had a problem with the emergency brake being too loose so after much adjusting and re-adjusting it is fixed. When the brake pads were first put on and I adjusted the e-brake cable, the brakes wouldn't fully release and rub while I was driving. Finally I got the e-brake to seem like it was fully releasing and holding just enough to make the car stay on a slight incline. It takes about 5-6 clicks for it to hold. Now when I get in the car and release the brake and go to reverse, I hear this god awful moaning sound every time. It also sounds like the pads are worn out again bc I can hear squealing when I'm coming to a stop. I've also always noticed that if I have to slam on the brakes it feels as if the brakes are slipping and not holding at all. The front brakes are fine and have new pads and rotors that are only a month or two old.
