The rear calipers are bigger than most fronts on cars.
Changing to a different pad compound from a aftermarket company could improve your stopping power, if that's what your looking for.

stopping is a function of tires. pad compound changes the aggresiveness of the initial bite and the modulation rate/feel and heat fade resistance. stopping distance (power) is a function of the tires not the brake pad. but good point except its all relative. go look at a porsche ferrari or zr1 if you want to know what big brakes really are ...

LNF cars have more brake than a Koni Challenge car.......you dont need more.

Get some braided stainless brake hoses so you have stronger/safer hoses more consistant feel, aftermarket pads will also help tune the feel of the system, you dont nee more brake though.

what is really surprising is how many people dont realize that if you can lock up your tires then your brakes are already maxed out....and that your tires are the main contributer to stopping in a certain distance....if you can apply mor brake without lock-up you will stop faster than you would with bigbrakes and locking up quicker...

you want the looks and can go without the hand brake it is do-able but not advisable...you would have to cut the brake pad lining down to reduce the swept contact area for hardware balance... I suggest you leave it alone and just powdercoat your stock rear calipers for looks..
