Removing stock struts an spring question

ok so right now im in the middle for removing my struts an springs to install my k sport coilovers an ran into a problem...i was reading on the how to an did everything right but came across the bolt that holds the sway var to the strut an all that bolt is doing is spinning so im guess its a bad joint now how do i go removing the bolt with a bad joint?

anyone had this problem an found something to help em or any ideas on what i would need to do?

I'm assuming you are talking about the rear?

well, if you have access to an impact gun....there's your answer.

If not, on the back side of the sway bar there is a metal tab on the sway bar endlink for a 17mm wrench (I think that's the size). You can hold that there to keep it from spinning, then remove the bolt.

ok so i pop off that lil plastic cap an try a fit a 17mm on there?

jsut get clamps and clamp the back as hard as you can and hold it. Also go to walmart and buy the 12v impact wrench, works wonders with bolts like that, even takes the top bolt off the strut. Very good tool.

neh, should have to pop the cap off...been a while since I done it that way..

I usually do it at work with air tools haha

yeah im useing air tools right now as well...but still no luck still just spinning

ummm, try this......use a long screwdriver and try and pry between the strut and the swaybar endlink putting pressure on the nut, then hit it with the impact gun
