ride height compairison

Does or can anyone take pictures of an SS/SC on stock springs or measure the wheel gap it has. I"m going to buy the stock springs from the SS/SC to put on my SS2.4 and am just trying to visualize the difference it will make. I know it will be subtle but just curious. Based on my research the eibachs lower the ls models 1.6 inches front and 1.8 back (if memory serves me correctly) and on the SS/SC it only lowers it .5 inches in the back. That tells me there is about a 1.5 difference on the SS/SC than ls springs. Thanks

Depends on the type of Eibach Springs. I have a SS/SC and I'm looking at the Eibach Sportline Springs which will lower me 1" in the front and 1.3" in the back.

thanks for the pics. To clear up my initial post. I was on eibachs website and the Pro-Kit for the SS/SC only lowers the car 0" in the front and 0.5" in the rear. The Pro-kit for the ls model lowers the front 1.6" and the rear 1.8". This is what leads me to believe that the stock SS/SC springs will lower the car about 1.6" in the front and 1.3" in the rear. Correct me if I'm wrong but the spring height on the LS is the same as the SS/NA right? In either case hopefully my intention now is more clear as I am looking to put stock SS/SC springs on my SS/NA and get a sublte but useful lowering. I'm also planning on the DC Sports STB and the progress anti-sway bar for the rear.

Isn't this a myth because of the stock lip kit and larger rims of the SS.SC make it appear lower but in reality the springs are the same hieght. THere was a post about this a while ago. Do a search.

I have searched on this and it wasnt exactly clear that they were the same height or anything. I have ordered the springs regardless because if they are the same height then I'll have the dual rate springs on the car instead. Once I get them and get ready to put them on I'll take pictures of a comparison the SS/NA springs alongside the SS/SC springs.

Edit:

I went on Chevrolet's website and looked at the SS/SC wheel and tire numbers, 215/45/18. compared to my 205/50/17. The SS/SC has an overall diameter of 25.6 inches where the SS/NA has an overall diameter is 25.1 inches. If the thread that talked about their ride heights being the same is true (not sure where it is right now) , then the springs of the SS/SC should be about a half inch lower to make up for the half inch increase in diameter on the wheels.

Did you install the SS/SC springs yet? I was looking at doing the same thing, but my research shows there would be no drop in the back eventhough GM specs show there should be a small drop. If you have done this, could you measure the distance from the center of the wheel to the edge of the wheel lip and post it? I had put this out of my mind until I came across this post, thanks!
