Ride Quality

Ok so I've driven a truck for the past three years so ride quality isn't a top concern, but if I go with an 09 TC and put some eibach lowering springs on it, how would it compare to a 4x4 v8 truck? just for ***** and giggles to see what will come out of this thread

yea I drive 4x4's, and 33's with a quality suspension might feel a little bumpy, but not that rigid, if you have 33's on 15" rims then all that side wall provides some cushion.

A balt with eibachs is not the same ballpark, it's not even the same sport

It's definitely more bumpy and depending on what kind of sidewalls your running may make it worse. My summer tires are 205/40's and I feel most bumps pretty well, but my winter tires are 195/65 and it almost feels stock when I have those on.

From what I remember when I test drove one, it was pretty nice. Smooth yet was able to handle the turns I threw at it. Also, got up to 110 pretty quickly lmao

as a former balt owner and a current truck owner riding on 31x10x15 tires i'd say the ride is comparable. When I first had my balt it felt like a Cadillac. 80,000 miles later not so much...

Lowered is gonna ride rougher than stock.

Take a test drive. A Cobalt drive like a sporty compact car, even a super stiff Cobalt isnt like a poor riding 4x4. Trucks are high up, have loads of suspension travel, massive tires and tend to throw you around in a sense. You move a lot when its riding poorly.

In a cobalt youre lower to ground, have much less travel, much shorter, stiffer tires, so where a 4by is moving you around and dropping/bouncing you in seat, a Balt is choppy, its quick sharp events in comparison.

I think TCs ride very well for as stiff as they are.
