rubbing issue

I had MSR 045's installed a few months ago. Im currently running 225/45/18 tires with a ARK GT-F drop and I know that these are a little too tall to run with this rim. (Getting new tires in a couple months)
At first the tires would rarely rub on my rear right tire over bumps but lately the rubbing has gotten much worse and rubs constantly while going over bumps and small dips in the road.

I took my car into a local shop to have the springs, shocks, and struts checked out and the mechanic said that everything seems fine.

Does anyone have some insight as to how the rubbing seems to be getting worse over time?
And is it abnormal for our cars to have rubbing on only one tire because the rear right tire is still the only one that rubs?

bump

Your springs are settling and sitting lower than when you first installed them. Perfectly normal.

would my springs continue to settle even after they have been on the car for a year?

Get 225/40/18's and the problem should go away. 225/45/18's cause rubbing issues for some people depending on there wheel and suspension setup.

Thats what I assumed but it would def suck to scrape my new tires once I purchase them.

Your 225/45's are a full inch taller than 225/40's (1/2" larger radially). Find someone who has 225/40R18's and try installing them on your car and see how much more room you have.

Check if your exhaust is hitting the torsion beam.

That is exactly what I am worried about. It seems unusual tha my problem has gotten worse. I have to baby it over every little bump in the road or it hits my fender and tears my tire up on the back right.
And if I go to 225/40/18's and tear them up as soon as they are installed I will be pissed.

Sorry if I dont know a lot about this but what would your exhaust hitting the beam cause to happen?

It's getting worse because your springs are settling. Every spring settles with time and continues to settle.

I would ditch the Ark springs in favor of some Pedders for some added height in the rear.

I know that mine hits the fender on the back right because i can see some rubber marks underneath the fender in one spot. I need to check out everything again because this is driving me crazy.
