SC or TC front sway bar?

i've read mixed opinions on this. i have a base model with FE5 and powell yyz v2s. some people say just leave the stock front bar on it, but some say you have to use the TC bar.

it feels like the front of my car needs something, it moves around too much. and the SC bar is thicker and cheaper than the TC bar.

so which is it?

The front moves around? What are you running for a rear sway bar? Yes, I said rear. Yes, that's counter intuitive.

it just feels like the front outside corner dives a lot in corners. and i just have a TTR rear sway bar. i have a feeling you're going to tell me a powell rear bar is going to fix the front's problems :P

Why don't you invest in some fe5 or good aftermarket springs and struts?

It says that he is on FE5 and Powell YYZ. Am I reading it wrong?

Well, what I'm going to say is that I don't know what you're running for tires, that I don't know if your rear beam has a bar built inside of it like an SS beam, or what the TTR size is. I would start with Control Arm bushings, then wheels and tires, because there is no sense working on suspension if your bushings are super sloppy and tires are both super skinny and slick as snot on a frozen door ***.

If your bushings are good and tight and your tires are up to it then next look at a bigger rear bar. Especially if your beam doesn't have the welded in bar that the SS has. Then of course, Koni shocks/struts are very helpful.

Work from the weak points out. You have the springs handled already and are in good shape there.

yeah i already have fe5 and yyz. and i just got BF Goodrich g-force sport COMP-2's in 235/45ZR17 on my stock rim (which was a struggle, by the way). it's possible that they're too wide for the rim and that could be affecting it some, but it still feels like there's a lot of body roll.

it's possible that something completely different is going on, and i just don't know any better

i've been debating on control arm bushings because i wasn't sure they would really make that much of a difference. but since i've been driving it harder lately, the steering has started to get sloppy and i'm hearing some clunking, so maybe i ripped them.

the TTR bar is only like 3/4" or 1" and i think it came with a welded-in bar, but it's only like a 1/4" or something useless like that.

so assuming i get CABs next, what's the next step? i guess the main question i have is, should i even bother with an SS front sway bar?

thanks for your input, it's really helpful!

I'm not really sure that a front sway bar will help you. You have shocks, struts, springs handled. Tires pretty much too. I'd do cabs next for sure. They make a huge difference. I was shocked at how much better they are when I did mine. Wish I had done them a year before.

After that, rear bar.
