Who claims it to be from Eibach? Who claims it to be from GC? Since this doesnt show the actual product I wouldnt give them the time of day, it is a generic pic. GC and Eibach are pretty decent brands, have installed quite a few GC sleeved "coilovers" and they arent bad but your link looks like some cheep bullshit.

I had been seriously thinking about going with the GroundControl/Eibach coilover kit, but went with the Pedders springs instead. I may try them sometime actually, I really like the idea,a lot

The ones in the link are NOT the GC/E coilover sleeves. BUT they are only $135......might be neat just to order a set and see what they are like, I get paid soon......

I never said you claimed it was Eibach. I was just noting that they werent but they were cheap enough that I might buy a set just to look at.

The reason you cant find Eibach coilovers for the Cobalt is that they arent made.....Ground Control is who makes the kit, and it uses Eibach 2.5" race springs.

okay, i will try to be more clear next time.

p.s. i'm asking the seller on ebay about those sleeve on, so the front has 325lbs, and the rears are 300. it comes with a top hat, spanner wrench, 4 springs(duh), sleeve on, bushing, and everything that a sleeve on should come with. i'm just waiting on for the pictures.

Post em ASAP. If they dont look like complete crap Ill probably buy a set to play with At $135 I could throw away the springs and buy my own and still be ahead of the game.

well good luck, those rates are a little weak IMO, you should also ask him if they are progressive springs of linear.

i used to have somthing like that on my last car(ford ZX2) they were drop zone from ebay. the ride wasnt bad, it was less harsh than the stock SS suspsion lol. had them on the car for a good 4+ years till the car got rear ended.

hell for 130 bucks it worth a shot. id like to see a preformance comparsion aswell.

yeah, right now i'm trying to see if the seller could get me front and rear 7kg/mm, or 400lb/in. linear rate too. but if not i guess i will just save up and get real coilover, lol. hope he reply me soon with pictures.

okay, more update. it comes with two top hat for the front, two bushing for the rear. the seller recommend softer spring rate as the 7kg/mm is gonna be crazy stiff and bouncy.

anybody know what the stock spring rates are for the T/C cobalt? this would help a lot of us to decide wat rate to get, thanks.

pictures soon, don't worry.

Whatever you chose I would go 1kg higher in rear than front if you want to maintain something close to the current balance, running the same rate or softer springs in the back is gonna totally change the way the car works, Cobalts have stiffer springs in the rear. Just my opinion obviously, but you wouldnt catch me with a stiff/soft setup.

a 6/7 setup probably wouldnt be okay without getting too stiff. I think 7/8 would probably be getting close to too much spring for stock struts/shocks/street

Depending on how my forsale thread goes I may actually do it. I would only do it if it can lower my front more than the TenzoR's I already have on there.

by the look of the springs, they look pretty short like my GC sleeve on. i think this should drop the balt like 2.5 to 3 max if anything.

plus they are sleeve on coil, i'm sure they will lowered more than any drop springs out there.

when i first got my car i ordered a set of these, and about a week went by and the company i ordered them from said that groundcontrol stopped making them due to not enough demand.so i called groundcontrol directly and they said that they could make me a set special order for 400 dollars and i would have to wait about a month or so.
