you either do one or the other. not both unless its an oem rotor that was engineered for it. r1 concepts has some for a decent price or the powerslots are ok aswell. i prefer slotted rotors. cheap drilled ones crack.

Just go powerslot slotted they are tried tested and proven through the forums.

For the SS/TC I just put OEM back on I love the braking power it's got already.

I've been running R1Concepts drilled and slotted rotors for the last 113,000 miles. They're fantastic.

Also ran the slotted and drilled rotors from R1 on my last car for 30, 000 and my new car for about 5000 miles. Work great. Best rotor I have used.

Only my rear drilled rotors have rusty holes due to the fact that not enough brake dust is generated to cover/ cost them.

Never had cracks in any of mine but I only daily drive my car, not auto ross or track.

R1 concepts is the way to go, 11K miles on mine and they are still holding strong. Drilled/slotted on the T/C

If I were to ever get any rotors non OEM I'd get slotted and not drilled, they can crack when drilled and slotted actually has more gains than the drilled.

I'm debating on getting R1's slotted or slotted and drilled when the time comes.

I was looking at the prices and drilled and slotted are only $7 more than just slotted. and drilled only is like $20 more on r1 concept website. idk how much shipping is though

Im with this guy^

I had slotted, seemed to create a lot more brake dust, and they warped pretty quick. went with Centric Blanks and couldn't be happier!

I'm with this guy too. I think they look a little silly unless they are massive and on some high end car. Just my taste though.

I've been using R1 Concepts premium slotted rotors with HPS or stock compounds for 50,000 miles or so now with no issues. HPS proved good for reduced dust, but faded quickly. Stock put out a lot of dust, but are always like Chuck Norris' hands gripping your rotors whenever you need them.

Filling a rotor with holes reduces the mass that the heat is dissipated over, which can lead to premature fade, and they're already vented, so it's not really getting you much advantage while giving you the disadvantages of possible warping/cracking.

Slotted rotors are slotted to clean the surface of the pads to ensure good and clean rotor-pad contact. To those mentioning they found stuff in the slots - Good, because that's what they're there for! lol I bought them for this reason and because it helps wipe the water off the stock pads that are known to have issues when they get wet. The disadvantage to slotted is as mentioned above - pads wearing slightly faster and needing to wash the buildup out of the slots when you wash the car.

Zero advantages on a cobalt running drilled or slotted rotors. Stock is fine, and safe if you run auto x/track days or brake like a mad man.
