For those of you with spherical control arm brushings how is the ride compared to ss/tc stock control arm brushings? Is the ride harsher or bumpier? Can you really feel better handling or less wheel hop?

It depends on your roads. If you have pretty decent roads, the increase in MVH is minimal. As far as handling goes, that also depends. If you are just driving on the street, no, you will not really notice. If you autox or track, it's a mild improvement and helps prevent some camber loss, not to mention the stock bushing tends to tear.

Thanks wangspeed. I want to put my money in the right places in my car.

At first I was going to get into autox, and then I realized it was expensive lol, so I am just looking for acceleration.

I put in rotated mounts, and that was a big improvement, and now I was thinking the spherical control arm brushings to further reduce wheel hop, but if its not noticeable, then I need to look for something else. Shocks, maybe? Better clutch and light flywheel?

BTW I am going with a 45 sidewall to help with launch.

Rod end/Rod end bushings make noise. No matter what the application..

Over a gravel road, railroad tracks, or road with lots of imperfections they will make some noise, as Wangspeed said. It's nature of the beast.

I have them and love them. If you take a pry-bar and wedge it between the control arm and the sub-frame, right next to the stock bushing, and give a small pry you can just see how flimsy they are.. Not with spherical CAB's though. They are very stout and a great piece regardless if you auto-x/track.

really drag racing is the cheapest to pay for a pass (although autox is pretty darn cheap as well) but the cost of drag race participation in terms of car stress/failure/maintenence, its the MOST expensive form of autoracing.

I was driving my old car the other day with my own custom solid CAB's, and they are still solid and quiet, makes the car feel totally different. They've been in there since '06 and have nearly 50K on them.
