Spring Question

In rebuilding the wrecked Cobalt SS i just purchased I found something interesting. I bought a strut tower (FE5) with the stock spring on it and when i went to change them out with the one on the car, i realized they were differnt springs. Upon closer investigation the springs on the car are purpleish blue and say HP Design on them. They are about an inch lower and seem stiffer so i'm assuming this car has been lowered. I can't find any information on HP Design springs (and i'm only familiar with offroad suspension since i just got rid of my Wrangler ) so can anyone help me here? Who makes them? How are they? I realize it will make the ride rougher, thats fine in favor of handling and looks. (may go with a strut bar to absorb some impact). Any input is appreciated!
