Congrats on the springs. And if you let me steal your topic for a second...

What I wanna know is if there's a high probability of scraping with their springs. I wanted a 2.5/2.0 drop like the Sportlines and the Tenzos, but I'm not sure if that much of a drop will get me a lot of headaches. Roads here are smooth and not much of a problem, but since I have yet to see a lowered balt up close, I really can't tell. Thanks for the feedback.

Will SS/SC springs on a 2 door LS drop the LS any height worth mentioning?

it wont give it a very agressive drop. but it will lower it a bit. IMO go with aftermarket if you want a nice drop.

Just got all my stuff today and installed it after work. FE5 struts and shocks, Eibach sportlines and the progressive rear swaybar. I have a FE5 front swaybar coming but not sure if I'm going to install it. She dropped real good, so low I couldnt get the front of the lift out without a jacking the front up. Dont even bother with the factory springs, the Sportlines are by far just better. Unfortunatly I dont have any pics yet, I know worthless post, the sportlines make her look almost like it came from the factory. Not slamed and in the weeds but low, not to mention tighter than a (insert number here) year old. Not at all harsh except at low speeds like parking lot. This is what I'd recommend to every LS and LT owner in the world for a suspention combination.

I ordered them from my parts department, I'm a chevy tech with a discount. Even so the FE5 stuff is cheap as **** right now because everything is still being produced by the manufacurer. I dont have the #'s in front of me but I think it was about $230 something for the struts and shocks, had to order them from Lancing MI. The FE5 front swaybar is a differnt animal as far as mounting. I'm thinking bout ordering an FE3 bar instead (22mm instead of 24mm). As far as the sportlines on FE1 struts I wouldnt recommend it just because when you do get the FE5 struts you'll have to do it all over again plus I dont think the soft valving in the FE1's will like having 2" of travel taken from them.

i've got 18's w/ 225/45 tires on them on an LS, an i am looking to drop it with either the sportlines or prokit, Does anybody know if by dropping it with either of those springs will cause any rub with bigger rims/tires??? thanks

Go for Eibach sports line... both front and rear will be at least 1.6" from fender to tire.

I wish I would've caught this thread a little earlier so that I could've helped your decision, but IMO, it looks like you made the right choice.

Pics of my 2.2 with Sportlines and 18" wheels:

A lot of people have Sportlines with their stock struts, so I wouldn't worry too much about replacing them right away (although if the roads around there really are that bad, you will want to eventually, I think).

The ride is amazing. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

but with bigger rims and tires it shouldnt matter with the issue of rubbing?

Your ride looks nice; it helped me a lot too! Now I know what's gonna be look like when I install a sportsline in my 2.2 then instead of 18s I'm putting 17s did you upgrade your struts too??

Sweet dude, I can't wait to see it because I'm about ready to put springs on my LS, and I want to see how it looks with the 17's.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm getting the Tenzo's. They're cheaper than the Sportlines, and look just as good. Just waiting for the guy on e-Bay to get them back in stock in a week or 2. Can't beat it for $150 shipped.
