springs question

Just wondering for those of you who have instaled some aftermarket springs....

when installing the rears, did you mount them with the tighter coils up or down? ive seen it done both ways and im not entirey sure which way is correct, or if it even matters

I prefer the coils together up top that was debris doesnt collect in it
