The SS/SC springs will fit the base model coupe and sedan. As well as the 2.4 SS models.

I have some pics that may help.

Go to page 2 of my cardomain page, and scroll down. You will the start of a comparison of cobalts for spring height. I should measure tire height and wheel well height. will do that in the future.

You can find the link in my signature.

I sold my stock SS/SC suspension, to some one here, unfortunatly we won't find out exactly how compatable the suspension from the SS to the other models, but as far as the spings go. your perfectly OK, the only question is in the Shock and Strut.

basically the SS/SC spring is equivalent to the Eibach proline spring (the SS may be a little lower in the front).
if you were to get the Sportlines I would get ready to buy new shocks pretty soon. buy you would get the vary same spring that the cobalt SS people are buying.

I wouldn't be worried

Hey, I was looking into changing my 05 LS's stock suspension over to the SS/SC"s. The dealer told me I would need the following: Front springs, rear springs, front struts, rear shocks, front stab. bar, lower control arms. Can anyone please check this list and let me know what else I need.

According to the guy at the dealer they put a better one on the ss but the stock ls one will work as well and if you buy through the dealer it will cost you over 1000

Comfirmed your pricing but those springs are for a COBALT. there is no listing for the Cobalt SS/SC

you sure you need to replace the control arms, I thought the only differance was aluminum (SS/SC) or steel (SS & other)

Yeah, I don't see why they'd be different

To ssnipes: They split the parts up, example: cobalt = soft ride suspension; ss = sport ride suspension; ss/sc = pref. and handling suspension. check under mechanical parts, front suspension, suspension components, coil springs. Thats one example and they do that for the strusts and shocks and so on.

to player 1 and hackabuse: don't quote me on this but if i remember correctly the guys at the delaer said the control arms were a different size or made better or something i cant remember but he wrote it down as the needed parts
before you guys do anything double check with your dealer with this, they shouldnt really have a problem with changing the exhuast over since they are gm parts

Agreed but the ride height is different as well.

Yes and that is another reason I posted about this; as an idea for people who are looking into lowering their car. Is it one inch lower from ls to ss/sc?

so if I sold my springs for 120 and there is no tax that is a good deal.

If anyone does do this, please post it up. I would like to do it because I personally like the look of the SS suspension but I dont really care for the look of the sportlines(too low).

later

as far as I know the only differeance between the SS/SC CA and the rest is that the SS/SC has an aluminum CA.

your right. springs alone give you the same ride height as the SS/SC. and my springs are for sale! I have the sportlines in my trunk waiting to be installed. my springs have less then 10,000 miles on them. I guarantee that they are perfect too or I wont ship them.
