SS Struts

I was wondering, when my oem struts go from my sportlines, and if there are no struts out yet, would it be better to upgrade to teh ss/sc struts? would that last any longer then my stock LS oem struts?

the SS struts are upgrade from the 2.2L struts, and the SS/SC are upgraddes from the SS struts, so yes you'll be much better off with the SS/SC struts when you need to upgrade.

keep an eye out for SS/SC guy's upgrading to coilovers.

Anyone have a part number for the SS/SC struts? I might buy them OEM when I upgrade.

Coil-overs replace your springs and struts, a strut bar is a bar that runs accross the engine compartment.

Here are strut braces.

according to gm-car-parts.com there are only two types of struts, W/O Sport and W/Sport.
I'm pretty sure the LS and LT have the W/O Sport shocks and the SS and SS/SC have the Sport struts. LT with sport package probably has the sport struts as well.

No there are infact 3 differant struts. There just not listed yet as they have not updated that site in some time.

The LT with sport package gets differant wheels/tires and a biger front sway bar. Thats it.

If you can get the SS S/C struts they will last longer then your stockers did but still not as long as aftermarket struts will.

I give your struts about 30-40K befor there should be replaced. Normal is about 60K. SS S/C struts with thous springs will go in 35-45K But will perform beter during that time.
