SS/TC FE5 Strut Questions.... HELP

I have an 06 SS/SC and was wanting to convert to SS/TC or FE5 struts when i go to put TEIN or Pedder springs on... my question is, do you need this part http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P2437C188.aspx or can you reuse the LSJ ones? when you go to replace the front struts

Thanks
Nick

Those are the part numbers for the Struts. Hes asking if he need the Upper strut mounts.

The mounts are the same for all the cobalts so you shouldnt need those.

CED is the place to get TC struts. Just call Tom and he'll hook you up with the real deal.

I was worried about ended up with ss/sc stuff but he assured me and I double checked it once it arrived and its ss/tc struts and shocks.

Anyone know if they'll work as well with sportlines as with the stock ss/tc springs?

Get SS/TC struts and shocks along with Pedders springs and be done looking around. This will be your best bang for the buck.

Nobody know how long things will last, its all depends on many variables.

/thread.

Whats the actual question here????

Call up CED and order some SS/TC struts and shocks. You dont need anything else to install them, just two struts and two shocks. Bolts right in.

As far as springs go pretty much everybody knows I run Pedders, Ive put them on both my Balts, I love them. How long will the struts last with them? hard to say(too many variables), Ive got 15k+ miles on mine and theres probably noone else close to that, mine are still fine. The big thing that kills struts is botoming out, I can tell you that you need to be doing real ******* moves to bottom out this setup hard enough and often enough to blow a strut.

Thank you . As a vendor on this site you consistently deliver OEM parts to folks at very fair prices with no b.s to anyone, in a difficult market and a difficult ( margin-wise) OEM to sell for.

Oh and I need to replace (I lost the frickin' thing) Book 2 Powersteering etc Cobalt workshop manuals can you get decent prices on the rare GM paper books?

Ordered mine a few weeks ago, extremely satisfied with my purchase from Tom @ CED.

They even sent me the newest version of the TC struts. They have the 09 part number on them.

for CED.

Same here...Mine came in a few weeks back too. Tom also went the extra mile and chased down 2 new front bump stops for me...I guess there hard to come by these days.

Tom @ CED FTW

qwik, what do you think about the sportlines with that setup? Only reason I ask is cause I've already got sportlines on the car and im going to be getting some shocks/struts soon. Would the extra drop over pedders really matter at all?
