SS/TC Steering Rack info?

Just did a search and came up with squat. I know the steering racks are interchangeable, but I'm looking for more information on the rack itself like the ratio compared to a stock LS rack, etc. Anyone know where I can find this info?

Racks are all the same. Only different steering ratio is on the lnf as its 14.8:1 vs every other cobalt at 16.5:1 and the difference comes from the steering knuckles. The swap only works with the f35 gearbox and you'll need the lnf axles, hubs and retainer nuts. I've done a lot to my SC chassiswise and this is still my favorite mod. I appreciate the difference the quicker steering makes since I had to struggle autocrossing with the slower steering. If you are able to do this you should

Blue note is 100% correct but if you use lnf hub bearings you lose abs on all pre 2008 cars. Use a grand am pontiac wheel bearing with some machining the lnf knuckles/ shafts etc work golden

Is that the only way I can get that back? Could I swap the actual abs unit from a tc?

Ponyiac G6 knuckles are the same as LNF only slightly thicker in places

no they are not, the LNF is not the same as the competition G6 style knuckle. sorry.

the steering arm is longest on the LSJ, shortest on the LNF and the G6 (competition knuckle) is in between.
