Here it is outside of my garage finally. The back is lowered as far as I can. It would be nice if I could get maybe 1/2'' more drop to level it out, but it's not that noticeable.

Car looks good. Don't know if you did it but if you remove the lower locking ring on the rear perch you can get a little more drop out of them. You don't need it if you're all the way down. Just lock the upper ring to the bottom of the threads.

I thought about that, but I'd have to cut the bumpstops if I went any lower. I'm thinking about cutting them anyway, but it only bottoms out on big bumps. About a 1/4'' would do it though.

rears install like your typical springs strut deal except unlike doing springs you unbolt the entire strut assembly this time around. basically i pre-measured everything. theres a lot of playing around to do with getting your ride height where you want it. i measured mine out where i thought i would like it. put it on the car and if i wasent happy with the height i just unbolted everything and dropped it in half inch incraments(any incrament is your choice)

The rear springs sit on threaded sleeves that you can adjust (see pictures on first page). The shocks are also length adjustable to match what you have it set at.

Should only take two times to get the height right if you can measure hehe.

ok so u set the height with just the springs on. then when you are happy with that you adjust the shocks to match? also i heard that before you install the shocks you should compress the spring a little bit? is that true?

the springs and shock body both have adjustable collars. also something i noted the bump stop sits very close to the collar BUT from what i have learned the collars are made so the bump stops go into the collar and not hitting the top. the shock body also has more height adjustment the the springs do. i put my springs about 3 quarters of the way down and then the shock body pretty far down aswell to get about even with the quarter. remember extremely low isnt good for your car despite how good it looks. also its not neccisarily true about compressing the springs. the springs will settle on their own.

well what i did today was install the springs and put the perch at its lowest setting. then compresed the spring a little and adjusted the shock till the shock lined up to the holes. measured the shock and made the other one the same length. is that right? it isnt very low. the back is .5 inches lower then the front. and the front is still stock. any ideas?

lower the front some more or raise the back..its something you need to do one at a time. get either the fronts or the backs where you liek them. after that do the opposite end of the car

the fronts are the stock struts that came on the car. didnt put the front coilovers on yet. i was just saying that after putting the rears on it is only .5 lower then the front. doesnt seem right. thought it should be lower

The reason for adjusting the length of the shock is to keep the spring seated when the car is lifted. There doesn't have to be much pressure at all.

What coilovers are you using?

Have you noticed how similar they look though...kind of wierd.

They are technically a different brand though, so the adjustments might not be the same.

i havent really looked at the ark ones because i honestly think ark makes crap products(no offense to anyone that has them). they do look offly similar but ive been in cars to compare stance to ark and stance ive found to be much better quality parts and the adjustment increments to be better.

but something i did notice lol...did you notice arks semi sponsorship plan? look at how much you and i payed for the stances and compare lol. man we gotta sick deal.

thats why i was asking on this thread. the dampening might be different but i would think the height adjustment would be the same.

^^^i own these aswell... heres my deal. they ride fine for a street/track car but i like a more track feel rather then a street feel. im honestly not pleased with the rear rates but i think the front rates are fine. i think an even 6k 6k is my best guess right now. theres a wait on getting the springs as they are special order for the cobalts. ive already looked into it. they said in a month or so they should be ready to get new springs.

soon ill be getting a chance to play with these more on the track and what not. i believe when john powell gets some free time hes going to test out these aswell and get some spring rate reviews but im not to sure yet.

^^^ i say this because from people i seen run the megan setup they seem happy with it as its 6k/6k. also im in no rush to recieve them so im going it order a set with 6k/6k.

since you own them, is the front leaning on the stiffer side or the softer side?
