Steering angle reset. Anyone do one?

After a steering shaft change Im getting an ESC active message and ABS working weird. From what I read you need to do a steering angle rest. I cant find anywhere how to do this. Do you need a scan tool, and if so any scan tool, or something Id need to take it to the dealer for? Thanks

I'm guessing dealer. I just had an alignment done where he had to move the steering wheel and he was worried about the angle as well, but so far everything appears OK.

I did look up some stuff and there should be some sort of power steering message on the DIC if it is the system that's throwing the fault.

If its anything like dodge, you cant reset it once you turn it over what its meant to turn or rotate. Better off buying a new one. But im only talking over experience with dodge trucks and cars, no idea how the cobalt one works. Might be similar
