steering question

So i noticed today that my steering wheel turns farther one way than the other by about an 1/8th of a turn, could this of happened when my steering recall was done?

I was thinking of just re centering the wheel my self on the intermediate shaft but would this change what the power steering reads as center? Do they reset the steering position sensor when they do the recall.

And does the power steering motor have to be in a certain position when put back in?

steering question

power steering motor is two bolts one gear it can only go in one way

to my knowledge there is no way to reset steering angle sensor

be very careful you should not rotate the wheel more than a couple teeth on the shaft in the cabin or you will mess up the clockspring that actuates the turn signals and such. gm has an actual procedure for recentering the wheel but its a lengthy process. it should not be far off center anyway, anytime the intermediate shaft gets removed the steering wheel should be locked and any gm tech should know and do that.

Thanks, so i also take it that if my steering wheel can turn farther one way than the other that it is not centered right, i assume this is not normal
