Strut tower help

Will the JBP performance strut tower for the cobalt work for my ls too it just mainly talks about the ss/sc just want to make sure and is there any strut tower brace thatis better then this one...... Part Details JP0906

It will, but you don't need it. It does nothing. The strut towers are integral with the firewall, so that acts as a "brace" between them. They are more than stiff enough as it is. Even if they did deflect slightly during hard cornering, it would only me a few mm at most. The resulting camber change would only be about a few hundredths of a degree. Not even measurable or noticeable. Its only function is as an appearance mod. Does not help cornering.

I bought one for my Beretta and I could tell the difference immediately but when I installed one on my Cobalt I did not notice any change at all. Could be the Cobalt is a tighter, stiffer vehicle whereas the Beretta had 250,000 miles on it at the time and was probably pretty "loose" after all those years.

Read my previous post and that will give you the reason. Beretta strut towers are not integral with the firewall, so there is nothing bracing them laterally.

well didnt have to buy one my one friend who works at shop gave me a brand new one for my bday yesterday so o well lol
