Stupid question..
Stupid question..
Well to you all it probably is, but to me its not cause I am clueless on this. I just ordered a set of the Eibach Sportlines and am pretty sure I need shocks with it. I have a 2006 2.2l LT. So if I do need shocks what would be a good set to get. I looked in the how to section on the Koni but not sure I would be able to do those, are they hard? Is there any other types that could be used with out modification? Thanks for the help in advance.
Koni's are the best and only strut out for the cobalt. THere really easy, just plan a day around doing them. You dont need struts right away, after a few months your stockers will give and you will need to buy some koni's. Personally i'd wait to buy struts unless you have the money now but dont install the fronts till your fronts let go since you gotta cut them apart anyway.
The factory FE1 suspension will not like the 2.5" drop the sportlines provide. I replaced my FE1 parts with FE5 struts and shocks. Had them on for almost a year now and have not had any problems. I don't like the Konis because they are inserts not struts. Just don't like cutting up perfectly good parts is all.

And for the FE5 from Crate Engine Depot what parts would I need if someone doesnt mind helping with that
Really all you need are the front struts and rear shocks. only other part work getting is the front swaybar but it requies some modification to make it fit.
