suspenion mods for kwanzaa

alright need a little bit of advice with a couple things im getting for kwanzaa...

im going all suspension this kwanzaa so im thinking REAR SWAY BAR, ENDLINKS, and FE5 struts/shocks. right now i have full fe1 suspension with SSC springs and 18" rims.

SWAY BAR: i wanna stiffen the **** out of the rear because i hate body roll (something i have too much of) and i would like less understeer. im thinking ottp street or hardcore. i have a fe1 sway bar in the front so which one would be better and what are the cons of going to the biggest sway bar?

ENDLINKS: Moog or Powergrid? Can Powergrid fit FE1 and what are the advantages of adjustable endlinks? Moog is cheaper but is it better than OEM? I think the endlinks are what is causing the weird noises over bumps im getting...

STRUTS/SHOCKS: just going with FE5 all the way around and dont need any insight on that

any help would be appreciated, i wanna make this kwanzaa a good one

thanks

Do you celebrate christmas too? I see that Kwanzaa starts the 26th of Dec and goes to the 1st of Jan.

How do I go about extending my holiday season over 7 days also?

What do you do during Kwanzaa? Do you go visit family and everything? I am unfamiliar with anyone who ACTUALLY celebrates it- many simply joke about it, and I was almost certain it wasn't supposed to be a gift giving event. Please explain. And for the super sensitive, these are serious questions.

Stiffer springs.

we dont actually celebrate christmas but we kind of incorporate the two together. each day of kwanzaa has a specific meaning like the first day is unity, and the second is self-determination and we light a candle on the kinara each day. but we also have a christmas tree and get gifts each day kind of like hanukah.

but why do u say stiffer springs? i already have ssc and theyre stiff as hell.

I know, but how much body roll do you actually get?
Endlinks are a good idea. Do you have poly bushings?

Maybe ask the AutoX guys, I'm sure they know ALL the tricks.

best setup withoug coils i believe would be pedders springs with either ss/tc or koni struts, and the ottp hardcore / street bar. idk if the street bar or hardcore bar is better, but the ottp sway bars are the best on the market for us right now. idk too much about which end links are best to get.

Powell Racing makes the bars.

Street is for most people, Hardcore is for well, the hardcore people

If you want one of the PRS rear bars I suggest getting a hold of John Powell OP.

Also Pedders with FE5 SS/TC struts and shocks cannot be beat.

It's not about how stiff everything always is, its the amount of control.

That's why you should get the Konis. Because the stock struts/shocks are underdamped. It's especially bad in the rear of the car. I have my Konis set pretty soft in the rear, but the difference is huge. Having the Konis on the car is more important than the Pedders.

No body actually bothered to ring these out on a track before they started to diss them. I did. I also sent a set of stockers to someone to have them tested next to the Konis. I'm still waiting for the results. After driving the Konis in the pouring cold rain, and also in dry conditions at VIR, it's obvious that they are clearly responsible for more control.

It's most obvious when you run over a curb in a turn that requires no lifting. On stock struts/shocks it will wallow while sliding, and may require a some corrections. On the Konis, you don't get the multiple back and forth rocking, especially in the rear.

Day to day, the difference is relatively minor. It's not a bone jarring ride, and it's convenient since I can make it a bit softer up front with the turn of a knob, but honestly, most of the time, I just set them and leave it. One speedbump is all it takes to realize that something is significantly different. Neither end of the car bounces up and down a bunch of times when you go over it. Stockers want to bounce up and down many times because it cannot damp that much force quickly enough.

I'm amazed at the constant disservice of information spewed about Konis on Cobalts. I've had an ongoing conversation with Lee Grimes from Koni about it, and if he unburies himself from work, he might get to share some information with folks.

For anyone that cares to find out on their own, go do research on winners of national events. Notice how many are on Konis. Here's a tip. Koni doesn't offer contingency money (except for Grand Am), so people are paying out of their own pocket for them.

yea koni is some good stuff but im not really going hardcore into racing so fe5 shocks/struts for 260 will do me fine.

powergrid or moog endlinks? what do i need to fit fe5 endlinks? how does ottp street bar compare to say progress or eibach?
