Sway Bar Clunk

Under braking, a clunk sound occurs from the sway bar hitting on the control arm. Struts were replaced, and noise still exists - any suggestions on what is causing the sway bar to hit control arm?

sway bar bushings shot, you have an 06 and the sway bar clamps are a tab with one bolt, and yield, upgrading to a two bolt fixing would be better. AND/OR you have an LT with FE5 short drop links which wont work.AND/ OR your trailing cabs are shot. 2 out of the 3 is my guess, dont think u have short drop links.

So I put MOOG short links on my FE1 sway bar (nuts rusted so had to replace) with FE5 struts. Is that bad?

short drop links may cause sway bar to crash into steel lower control arm under braking due to lack of clearance. Alloy control arms have more clearance (shape/ curvature )
