SSBC. WilWood has put brakes on a Cobalt, but they don't have a "kit".

cavilers were all 5 lug wheels... some junk yard parts off an LT is all you need. i would imagine it would be a fairly simple swap.

didn't realize the LT's came with discs, but i found one today and sure enough, it had discs. do the LT disc swap. Integra Type R uses a 4x100 bolt pattern too, and they have decent brakes...fyi.

Just out of curiosity what is involved in doing a conversion such as this? If its not to hard I may look into doing this as well.

i have done a rear disc brake conversion, as long as the hub is the same it will swap over. the brake lines usually use the same type of connection before they go to the caliper or drum and it shold only take 2 hours at most. you don't need to have it done you almost can't screw it up unless you don't know anything about brakes (bleeding the line etc...) make sure to have an alignment done afterwards though!
i am hopefully going to do this soon. if i do i will make a how-to:

The Saturn SC2 has the same bolt pattern as the cobalt. (4x100). Check out http://www.saturnmotorsports.com/ they have a kit for it.

I don't know if it will fit but maybe you can look into it.

why do you need an alignment? you aren't messing with any thing that would change the alignment, and there is no adjustment in the rear that i've seen.

If you get bigger discs, you aren't going to be able to modulate your brakes easier. You won't be adding ABS by adding larger discs and calipers. In fact, you will probably lock them up even more often with larger discs. You may want to take an aggressive driving course if you are really that concerned about locking up brakes with no ABS.

In that case, you want an EBCM (electronic brake control module) and I don't know if that's all you need either.

What all would i need to order if i got the parts new for the LT disc swap.. i can probably get a discount on the parts so i would just need to know what all i need.

The SSBC conversion is NIIIIICE but if i can get away with NOT spending 1300 im all for it LOL
