I'm tempted to try this for $30.
Obviously, you'll have to remove the rotor shield for full effect. From past experience, removing the rotor shield is a bit of a double edged sword if it's FWD or AWD. The heat from the brakes dissipates faster, but the CV boot is right there.
Thoughts? You'll need to register to see the pics on EvoM, but basically, it's Porsche GT3 brake ducts on an Evo X.

Welp, I tried to get these fitted today, and they seem to work, but I was a bonehead and put them like 1 pinky away from the rotor, uh, with the wheels pointed straight. They have "self-adjusted" themselves away from the rotor now though
The angle isn't optimal because it curves a bit towards the front of the car near the rotors. Ideally, it would stay straight. I may cut some off.
Got them paired with some Cobalt XP1 pads for VIR next week. John, where's that bar

If I have an off track excursion, I'd rather the zip ties break and lose the ducts rather than break something else in the area. I also want to be able to quickly remove them if it's a rainy event.
Hmm, good to know. For 30 bucks even if they break off its not a huge loss. Easy removal with the zip ties is also nice. Let us know how they work and how much of a difference in brake fade, feel, etc you feel.
OP, where do these spoilers direct the air? Is it into the center of the rotors near the hub, or just the inside face of the rotor itself? Thanks.

Ideally, you send air to the hat where the air travels from the center to the outside, but we have this annoying thing called FWD, so some crap gets in the way
I may trim the duct a bit this week. I'll try to get some better pictures when I do.
If you willing to spend the money...we have a someone who you get you 2pc rotors and set you up with a decent brake cooling kit.
You know you to contact if interested .......................................\/

Those are not pics of my setup but the Pedders springs, TC struts and shocks along with some fun Powell parts that I run are awesome!
I haven't had any brake fad yet with this car on stock pads. But may 1-2nd will be my first trip on the new sticky tires to Carolina Motorsports park. A very brake heavy track. So, we'll see. If that happens, thinking of fabing up some cooling ducts using the factory fog light holes

CMP was where I had my first race years ago. I hear they've changed the last few turns of the course so it's no longer miserable 2nd gear, tire eating, brake destroying crap. Oh, and the gator strips leading to the front straight will rip suspension out of alignment. Kershaw is a sandy, hot ass place, with no shade, and angry ants. The only trees around are the ones that people somehow manage to hit. Then there's the Executioner, err, Executive Inn, where they steal your drinks if you don't lock them up. On the plus side, there's the nightly entertainment out on Hampton street. Just sit outside and watch. But don't mind my rant. It's still better than going to work

Here's some in car footage from the old version of CMP. Sorry about the small video, but I don't have the original anymore. The first half of the track up to the high speed kink is actually pretty fun. Miserable after that.

HAHA I love the Executive inn. Probably cause my GF refuses to go back there? And by entertainment do you mean watching people trying to parallel park? Cause in Kershaw people just can't seem to figure it out. CMP is crap compared to VIR but, it's just so cheap! Running there with my first event with NASA (HPDE 1
) for $250 for the entire weekend!
Thanks for the info on the fogs, I haven't done much research. It was just a thought at this point.
Anyway, let us know how this works out for ya.
